Hearing on secret agency official’s murder case deferred
LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge Lahore on Wednesday deferred the hearing of a murder case for recording statements of five officials of sensitive agency till June 27. The court will record statement of prosecution witnesses include Lt Col Dr Mohammad Shafiq, Major Adnan, Major Azhar, Captain Wajahat and Hawaldar Irshad. According to prosecution, Sattukatla police lodged a case against four accused Wasim, Shahzad, Nadeem and Naveed Shahbaz on charges of murdering Shafiq, a lower rank official of a secret agency on January 9, 2001. staff report
